Riding in the New Year with over 8 feet of snow and it’s only just begun! Come and enjoy the 5207 acres of open terrain!  When the temps drop below 10 degrees F, keep a close eye on your friends for frostbite. Cheeks and noses that have turned white while riding the lift need to be re-warmed as soon as possible. If you see signs of frostbite on others we recommend they get inside immediately. Please extra layers are a must when on the mountain with gloves, goggles, hats, and neck gaitors. Preparing ahead of time makes for a more enjoyable day on Vail Mountain. Events BURTON SUPER DEMO—January 4 to January 6 The 2007/08 Burton Demo Tour features 200 stops in the U.S. where riders can test ride the latest Burton Snowboard gear for.  At Vail, the Demo Tour will be located at Golden Peak and operational from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. The Learn to Ride component will be offered on Saturday, Jan. 5 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. for ages seven and older. Registration for the LTR groups can be made online only at burtondemotour.com. Signup is limited. Triumph Winterfest—January 5—An art exhibition featuring 15 large scale organic ice sculptures lit internally with LED's. Carving of the ice will begin on January 5 and continue until all sculptures are complete.  At the Gore Creek Promenade. Nature at Night— Gather 'round expert naturalists from Gore Range Natural Science School for nature talks under the stars. Seasonal topics include astronomy, nocturnal animals and more. The perfect start to an unforgettable evening at Adventure Ridge.
