ASIST two-day training

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day, two-trainer workshop designed for caregivers who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Emphasis is placed on teaching suicide first-aid to help a person at risk stay safe and seek further help as needed. Participants learn to use a suicide intervention model to identify persons with thoughts of suicide, develop a safeplan based upon a review of risk, be prepared to follow-up, and become involved in suicide-safer community networks.

This training will be held at the Eagle River Presbyterian Church in Avon on April 15th and 16th. Cost is $20 and includes lunch on both days.

Please contact Meredith Van Ness <mailto:mvanness@eagleyouth.org>  or call 970-949-9250, if you would like to sign up for this great training opportunity.
