Habitat for Humanity of Eagle & Lake Counties is now accepting applications. A community information night will be held on Thursday, May 21 at the Avon Library to provide important information about the application process and about Habitat home ownership. The meeting will be held in English from 5:30 to 6:30 and in Spanish from 6:30 to 7:30. Applications will be distributed following this meeting.
The application deadline is Monday, June 1. Those interested in getting an application before the community meeting can do so by stopping by the Habitat office in Eagle-Vail, by calling to have one mailed or by downloading it off the website.
Habitat for Humanity selects families based on three criteria: degree of need, ability to pay and willingness to partner. Beyond building homes, Habitat empowers families to build a better future for themselves and their children. Habitat homeowner Liz Fessenden said, “Truly it is more than a home we built. Habitat instilled character to believe in myself, courage to face college and passion to make a difference.”
