(Vail)--The Vail Recreation District (VRD) will close the Vail Golf Club driving range Thursday (10-30) and the Pro Shop and starter house on Friday (10-31) to begin preparations for Vail Nordic Center programming. As a thank you for a great season, beginning Nov. 1, golfers will have an opportunity to continue unattended play and walk the course with holes 1 and 2, 8 through 12 and 16 through 18 available for play, depending on the weather. Great end-of-season rates are available through Friday including walking nine holes for $30 and 18 for $45. Carts are no longer allowed on the course. The Pro Shop will remain open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday and is offering up to 40 percent off on a variety of its inventory including shoes, clubs, luggage and more.
