| March 08, 2010 | | Annual fundraiser for First Descents | First Descents will kick off its 2010 camp programs with the fourth-annual ball at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch on Saturday, March 27.
The “hat party” will include dinner by Wolfgang Puck Spago, dancing, and live and silent auctions to benefit First Descents. The organization, which recently moved headquarters to Boulder, will host 15 adventure programs in five months this year – its most ambitious schedule to date.
“We will always consider Vail our home,” said founder Brad Ludden. “To ensure that the community remains an integral part of the organization, we have decided to host over half of our kayaking camps in Vail this year.”
In addition to five kayaking-focused camps held locally, the non-profit will introduce five climbing-focused camps in Estes Park, Colo., and Moab, Utah.
“A major component of our expansion plan is the addition of more climbing and mountaineering camps,” said Executive Director Brendan Synnott. “We’d like to continue diversifying our programs to provide support for the 70,000 young adults diagnosed with cancer every year.”
For more information on First Descents, please contact Chelsey Northern at Giant Noise at (646) 454-9711.

| February 03, 2010 | | Guest testimonial shows high service levels at Aria | The people from Vail Cascade are truly kind and warm and the Aria Spa and Resort's staff members are indeed the clearest manifestation of it.
I was so happy to find such a strong yoga community at the Aria Spa facilities. This shows not just the high quality of its yoga teachers but their heart-centered consciousness from where they instruct the tradition of the yoga science and its benefits to their student-members.
The hotel really holds the "blissful spirit" of the pure white snow covered mountains. A perfect place to dissipate the mind, rest the body and recharge the spirit as one contemplates the undoubtedly presence of the Supreme manifested in such a divine environment.
Looking forward to enjoy such an experience again,
With deep gratitude,
Andrei Ram
